At Anyone AI, we have a mission: to empower Latin American talent to play a leading role in the artificial intelligence revolution.
We are building the largest AI talent hub in the region. Through our AI Fellowship Program, we help software developers build on their experience to develop new skills, create technology with AI, accelerate their careers, and access global opportunities. We combine hands-on training, industry experts, and a community that learns and grows together.
Joining Anyone AI means helping more professionals transform their futures and enabling Latin American talent to play an increasingly important role in the global technology industry.
The purpose of your role
You will be responsible for managing and recovering payments from fellows who have completed our training and whose payment obligations have been triggered under the terms of their contracts.
You will manage a regional portfolio: approximately 70% of the fellows are based in Argentina, while the rest are in Mexico, Colombia, Chile, and other LATAM countries.
We are looking for someone with experience in complex collections, strong negotiation skills, and confidence explaining contractual terms. You will combine persistence, firmness, and empathy to turn difficult conversations into payment agreements and successful collections.
Your main responsibilities
Manage a portfolio of fellows with active payment obligations, outstanding balances, and unfulfilled payment agreements.
Review contracts, case histories, employment information, and contact records to prepare for each interaction.
Contact fellows by phone, email, WhatsApp, and other channels, following contact and confidentiality policies.
Design and execute follow-up sequences to reach individuals who are unresponsive or have stopped communicating.
Conduct conversations with fellows who raise objections, are unaware of their payment obligations, or state that they will not fulfill them.
Clearly explain applicable clauses, payment-triggering conditions, amounts, and due dates, using guidelines and materials validated by the legal team.
Negotiate payment commitments and plans within authorized limits, escalating discounts, exceptions, or changes for approval.
Follow up on agreements until payments are received and correctly recorded.
Document collection activities, responses, objections, commitments, proof of payment, and next steps in the CRM.
Coordinate with Finance, Operations, the fellow support team, and legal counsel to resolve cases.
Prepare complete case files for matters requiring legal review or escalation.
What would make you stand out
Experience in fintech, personal lending, education financing, edtech, bootcamps, subscriptions, or services with deferred payment arrangements.
Experience with payment models linked to employment or income increases.
Experience working with law firms or legal teams is a plus.
Education in Law, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
How we will measure your success
Amount recovered against your assigned target.
Recovery rate across the portfolio available for collection.
Percentage of fellows successfully reached.
Time to recovery and changes in overdue balances.
What we expect in your first 90 days
Develop a strong understanding of contracts, payment-triggering criteria, and collection procedures.
Establish a follow-up strategy for each type of case.
Maintain complete records of collection activities and agreements.
Show recovery results against defined targets.
Identify the most common objections and propose concrete process improvements.
What we offer
Fully remote work
The opportunity to join an AI education company with a regional reach.
The opportunity to contribute to improving the collections and debt recovery process.
What we are looking for
At least 3 years of experience in collections, debt recovery, or payment negotiation, including direct involvement in cases with significant resistance to payment.
Experience managing portfolios of individual customers in Argentina and other LATAM countries, and knowledge of local communication and negotiation practices.
Proven results in payment recovery, achieving targets, and following up on payment agreements.
Experience reviewing contracts and clearly explaining obligations, payment terms, and relevant clauses.
Ability to handle objections, de-escalate conflicts, and conduct difficult conversations professionally.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Spanish.
Proficiency with CRM systems, Excel or Google Sheets, and digital communication tools.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a portfolio independently in a remote setting.
Sound judgment to recognize when a case requires legal review and avoid making commitments outside authorized terms.
Availability to coordinate outreach across time zones in Argentina and other LATAM countries.
